VistaJet, the world’s second largest private aviation company, has reported strong demand for its services in the Middle East over the past 12 months and expects business to continue expanding.
The company, which is exhibiting at the Dubai Air Show (Booth E540), currently has, on average, between three and five of its fleet flies in the region on any given day and anticipates this figure to rise in 2010.
By the end of this 2009, VistaJet will have taken delivery of seven new aircraft, taking its total to 25, and will add a similar number next year – a portion of which will be allocated to the Middle East.
The Middle East is an extremely important region for us. Currently, it makes up around 10 per cent of our business. However, we expect that figure to increase, and by 2012, I would see the region representing around a third of our revenue. Our typical customer in the Middle East is one of exceptional taste and has a keen awareness of value for money and these are attributes which fit perfectly with the ethos of VistaJet. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service in the skies with a simple, transparent pricing plan which delivers value. The worldwide market for private aviation has contracted by around 15-20 per cent in 2009, while VistaJet, which has the largest wholly-owned commercial fleet outside the Americas, has seen its H1 revenues grow by around 22 per cent with a record number of passengers carried during July and August. The challenging economic climate has accelerated consolidation in the marketplace, bringing weaker business models into question. We believe the economic downturn has highlighted flaws in the full and fractional ownership model and we are now showing there is an alternative. Our clients get to partner with VistaJet’s entire fleet without the capital commitment or asset risks associated with owning all, or part of, an aircraft. The fact that we have experienced such strong growth, is testament to our service which combines transparency, flexibility and guaranteed availability, with the ultimate luxury travel experience.”.
Thomas Flohr, Chairman and founder of VistaJet
VistaJet’s service is designed so customers enjoy a partnership with the company and is split into two flight solutions – Your Program and Your On Demand. The Program is built around customers who fly often, more than 100 hours per year, and want guaranteed availability and the consistency of a luxury product.
The On Demand Solution is for customers who fly only occasionally, but when they do, it is a special occasion whereby they expect nothing less than the VistaJet luxury for their families or business colleagues. VistaJet’s customers can also take advantage of the largest single service area in business aviation – from the US east coast to Asia/Pacific. Program Solution customers can fly within, or between any regions in the VistaJet service area with no positioning costs. Whether flying from London to New York, Geneva to Riyadh or Bahrain to Beijing, Program customers only pay for the hours they fly, on the aircraft that meets their requirements.
